I was getting ready to list on that auction sight my 1969 Reprint of the 1908 SEARS, ROEBUCK Catalogue and thought I would share some MILSUP rifles and others listed in it. Pretty interesting

$3.75 was a great deal of money in 1908. Average wage was 22 cents per hour(17 hours to make $3.75 before taxes. No income tax then though.) Average annual wage was between $200 and $400 if you weren't an unelected civil servant. They were making $590 annually in 1900. All in USD.
Spelling and Grammar count!

Did a little inflation calculator-ing. It's always fun to put these things in perspective.
$3.75 in 1908 is approximately $103.86 today
$.22 in 1908 is approximately $6.09 today
$590 in 1900 is approximately $17634.26 today.

Spiegel Catalog Mossberg rifle 1938
In 1938, Spiegel's Catalog offered the Mossberg bolt action 22 rim rifle Model A45S which was only sold in Spiegal,s catalog stores, a total of 805 rifles were manufactured.
A special Model 45AS was also available with a plate on the pistol grip to be engraved
with the owners name, there were only 137 of these rifles manufactured and sold.
My father bought one in Chicago and these are the photos of the rare Model 45ASAttachment 92004Attachment 92005Attachment 92006
