1903 Springfield Sear Differences

My early Rock Island serial number 64145 appears in original condition without any indication of being rebuild with later parts. The photos show the sear with a hole which

Is it the whole rifle or just barreled receiver. I was just dealing with sears and Vi Shooter shows that (SA) sears with a hole are WWII. I have an Early RIA stock, I'd have to pull it and see if it's early enough.

My Rock Island s/n 64145 with RIA 3-07 dated barrel is a complete rifle. Interesting story, I had a good friend (since died) that was a fireman, he was doing inspections
in an old business area of town. In the back storage room of an old hardware store, he found the Rock Island 64145 rifle. He was able to buy it and later sold it
to me.

THose are the best stories. In 1990 after my grandfather died I was cleaning out one of his storage rooms in the basement and tossing everything in a dumpster. There was an old plastic Christmas tree in its box. I grab it and started walking out to the dumpster and the bottom of the box opened up and a .22 Cal AR rifle fell out. It looks sort of like the ARMSCOR M1600 but it looks to have a shorter barrel and a flash suppressor.
