Well that is certainly a turn up for the books I wonder who the expert was that ratified it and where Harry's stamp was if it was not on the flat. No scope number on the upper wrist and at 10,000 GBP think I will pass.......

As long as we are on this subject of matched/mismatched rifles I need opinions. I have 4 maybe 5 T's. Do to life's circumstances I have been out of the collecting business for several years and have not had these out of the safe in all that time. I'm on the short side of 80 and it's probably time to move these on rather than wait for the clean up crew to muck things up. The rifles are all in excellent condition and all matching. A couple came to me with original unmarked scope brackets that may or may not be matching. I have a Mk3 scope for each of these rifles but none are matching. Also several original brackets. The question is, should I try and sell these rifles with a bracket and scope or should I part them out and sell as individual pieces ? I also have a very nice trials T with a Mk1 scope. Bracket came with the rifle , scope was acquired separately. Also have two transit cases and a spotting scope with a NZ marked tripod. Expert opinions please from those of you that are still in the game and know what the current market looks like.

Hi Charlie,
pity you're so far away, I'd love to have a look at your T's, too expensive to have shipped to UK unfortunately.
Ian.

Crikey........!!
I would sell with bracket and scope, just stating what you above in terms of no matching scope/bracket.
I have no idea what prices are going for such in the USA at the moment, but I'm sure others will be along to advise.

Ian.
I didn't know you were still looking Ian.
Richard Stork at Devizes Gunsmith still has one 4T available on his listings below.

And Simon at Highwood has this nice unfinished 4T 'without telescope' listed.

Phew that L42 would I love that one but have not got the 11,000 GBP I reckon that L96 would have gone for double that.........do not know about that remaining T as the bracket though a good one by Roger Payne is not the real deal also the scope is a forced match 2.5K may be a better price.

Just thought I'd ask the question, with 14 typos in the advert, how accurate is the information?

Richard at Devizes has just updated his listing this evening and added another 4T to his website, dated '43 with Mk2 scope, and chest etc. Listing #2118 on his website.
He has also listed a few very interesting LE trials rifles as well.

Don't rely just on email contact with Richard, always try a call as well. Sam, his wife often handles the emailing stuff, as Richard spends his time in the workshop, so always best to try and call and not rely on just email contact.....especially as sometimes these things don't always hang around too long!
I went to see Richard to view one 4T he had in stock and ended up coming away with one that had come in the day before and hadn't even gone up on the website!

Richard e-mailed me and it seems I'm 1st on the list, thanks to you. He said it was listed at 9.00pm! yesterday. I said I would phone him Tuesday as he was only in early this morning.
It would be nice to have some opinions on this rifle. I would far prefer a fully matching kit but then how long would I have to wait, I'm not a youngster anymore, although I think I am.
Ian.
