My guess is that, by now, the vast majority of both original PU scopes and replica scopes have ended up being fitted to M91/30s. I doubt that they are bought for the display cabinet!
Hundreds, maybe thousands have done it. And (unfortunately) many of them seem to have no qualms about the result being passed off as original.
Any gunsmith who is competent enough to fit a scope onto a hardened receiver should be able to do it.
But first get access to a genuine sniper rifle to measure the positions for the fixing screws!
Note that a cutout will have to be made in the stock as well!
But be aware that you will also need a bolt with a long-turned-down bolt handle to clear the mounted scope!
- That will send the cost up considerably, maybe making the ewhole operation financially unattractive!
