My Opinion
I am interested in the history surrounding the firearm. At present I own a 1900 Swedish
M96/38 the Swedes didn't need to use in WW1 and a 1943 Swiss
K31 they didn't need to use in WW2. Also the firearm does not need to be pristine but does need to be a shooter. In fact the nicks and dings add to the historical character. At present I am looking at handguns from the same eras.

If anything, maybe because Im under 30 but I have great interest in Cold War Era firearms, especially from the African Bush War.
My dream guns are a Rhodesian FAL, a Rhodie marked CZ-75 (or a Browning Hi power), and a South African Vektor R4. I also wouldn't mind a soviet AK-74.
I actually started my gun collection with a sporterized steyr m95 back 6.5 years ago when I graduated high school, and I inherited a non-import marked m91-30 that was a ww2 bring back. Since then I also owned a Yugo
m48 and then I sadly sold it.
Also I have owned a good number of Eastern Bloc handguns, including a East German
makarov, a FEG Israeli capture Hi power, a few Tokarevs, a CZ-82 and a minty Bulgarian Military Makarov that is my CCW even today. I also had a Star Model Super B and that was a excellent shooter, but it had small parts breakages and as a college student it was my only gun and I needed a good CCW/Home Defense piece, so I traded it for the Bulgy Mak.

1900 - 1950s or so for me. Rifle more than handgun. Been on a .22 trainer kick for a while but enjoy a good day out with a .30 cal / iron sights on the 200 yd range.
I shoot everything I have. No safe queens but some that I'm more gentle with than others.

As a student and collector of all things Imperial German
WWI, my collecting interest is with German maxim machine guns and the T Gewehr. In Canada
there are some excellent collectors and dealers and in the sadly reducing Royal Legions items continue to surface. In order to preserve and avoid destruction, as Canadian museums are turning stuff away I try and maintain the pressure on an awareness in case items surface amongst our members here.

Happy to help, but need more info, please. For example, model, year (approximate), maker, condition, source, etc.

As a good Canadian
boy it should be Lee Enfields, but after shooting my Swiss
K31 it is still the favorite of the group. My wife liked it so much she bought her own. Yes his and hers matching K31's.
Not to say i do not love all my Milsurps but you have to have a favorite child....
