Ww2 Weekend at MAAM 2018

Another year has just flashed by to what I consider the 3 day start of Summer 2018! An epic event as always - moved in Thursday eve and out by Sunday night. 2 160lb tents with a porch "canvas" rigged in between - all kinds of period cooking gear and rations on display. Sleeping in between lee enfields, bren, piat and 2" mortar and accessories. We played ruby with the neighboring Paratroopers. The only vehicle present for us was a T16 carrier - fully equipped, all else was in the shop for simultaneous minor repairs. Two nights of dance with epic sunsets, weather from hot and humid to overcast to brief spells of blustery with light rain. As you can see I focused on the warbirds when the crowd thinned. A good swapmeet for 70 year old+ gear if you were prepared to dig.
