This WW2 training tragedy finally cleared up after 75 years.
They hushed up the U.S. lads killed in their hundreds at Slapton Sands when the E Boats torpedoed them out at sea,so it doesn;t surprise me!

I wonder how many similar instances were covered up. I understand the need for secrecy at the time, but the records should have been released when the war was over.
