I would be interested in the overall length of those - unsnapped - and from end to end. They seem to vary by as much as 4-5 inches from what I've seen so far. Thanks! - Bob

Pulled tightly, one is 49-3/4". The other is 49-1/2".

I wish the ones I have were that shorter length. The (2) C Tips in this picture measure 52" overall, but with the snap closed are about 49 inches. According to Riesch's book, that's still within specs. I'd rather have them look more like the D Tip at the top of the picture when "snugged up" on my Carbine. The D Tip measures about 49" OAL. Thanks for measuring them - at first I thought mine might be for a gun other than an M1
