With a spare slouch hat on the ground behind the SMLE, looks like they would be taking long shots across that valley as it appears their slit trench is right on top of a fairly steep incline. Appears to be an '07 bayonet jammed in the ground to the SMLE's Rt with a Bandolier!
Are they mortar carry tubes next ti GI's left leg background

Thought that might be Korea, did they have those power transmission towers seen in the background?

An earlier photo on thread https://www.milsurps.com/showthread.php?t=64962 identified as Korea shows similar towers. In fact I think the other photo is the same area, but taken from the bottom of the valley that these guys are overlooking.
