Finally after years of waiting I own a Garand

With the exception of a recoil spring in 3 pieces and a missing ejector plunger it got a clean bill of health from the gun smith. Now I need to get some clips and ammo.

You mean the op rod spring? Good thing it wasn't fired like that, hard to say what would have happened... Anyway, good to go now.

Sounds potenaly nasty Jim, is an out of battery detonation possible with a Garand if the bolt isn't fully locked?
