    Do I detect a touch of sarcasm? Here's another free one: that little thing at the front of the gas cylinder is not the "gas plug," that term is reserved for the Gas Trap muzzle piece. The modern one is the gas cylinder lock screw.

    Yes, I did use wrong terminology when I wrote 'gas plug', what's worse is that I know better. Yes, you detected sarcasm...I felt I was returning sarcasm for sarcasm...never a good idea in the long run at a site dedicated to a mutual interest. Then again maybe your M1icon does not have a gas plug but my M-1 does?
