I own a couple M1917 Enfield's, while seeing your thread I remembered this article. https://www.ammoland.com/2015/06/bri...#axzz5O69eGRnNIf it is a p14 this still seems to be a really low serial #. Good luck with your search and hope this helps[

There are better experts by far than me but I think you have a Smith or home built mix master. I have both Eddystone M1917s and Era P14s. Your ERA stamp looks just like the one on my P14. Member frajuple can probably tell you for sure. If done right would not be an issue. Interesting rifle.
