Just one more thing that is confusing me is the serial number, I did find some info on the serial number but its not much help, the following is from a web page dedicated to the EAL:

The E.A.L. Rifle is found in both civilian and military models. The civilian models are serial numbered in the range of 2000 to 5000, while the military models are numbered in the 6000 to 6999 range.

The confusing part is the serial number on mine is 58XX so I'm not sure what that tells me, it looks like mine is the military version as it has the 200 and 400 yard flip up sights and from what I can find out the civilian version has the peep sights.
