A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. I wonder if they were resurrecting dewats? That's why ours changed to welded solid, we had an ex policeman charged and he did a couple years...for reviving dewats.

There you go, next item on the anti-gun list of items to require special licences and taxes, and background checks for all the operators --- drill presses, lathes, milling machines and TIG welders.

Kind of wonder about the 8 round packaging.
A gearbox repair firm would be a good cover for purchases of materials.
"...not a professional or licensed outfit..." They issue licences to illegal gun factories? Friggin' media hacks never cease to amaze.

This situation has caused some waves in the classic car world, and vintage racing scene as the owner of MKF Engineering, and one of the 3 arrested, has been involved in reproducing many now very hard to find vintage gearbox parts for Ford 3 rail gearboxes, such as used in the Lotus-Cortina, Lotus Elan, RS Escorts etc., as well as making new magnesium castings for bellhousings, casings etc., and all the parts to recreate the rare Hewland 5-speed version of the Ford Type 3 box.
He was also involved in supply the parts to Caterham for the 6 speed gearbox they use in the Seven from what I've seen.
In the 90's he was one half a well respected firm Flowtech Racing, specialising in cylinder head work.
He's worked for VW in South Africa and Germany icon

in the auto industry prior to that and has worked in the automotive world for over 40 years having served his Engineering apprenticeship in the Royal Navy in the early 70's.

Very sad news then. Surely to christ there wasn't that much to be gained in weaponry compared to those specialist boxes for Classic cars??

They cordonned off a whole block and supposedly found 2 guns....

Watching the news conference and noting that they did not show any firearms, i'm going to suggest they may have found an air pistol or 2...

Most "big bust" new conferences here show large numbers of bb guns, air soft and non gun replicas...

Not many real guns get seized.
