The German
soldiers used to say that you could identify the aircraft by the colors. If the planes were blue...they were British
, silver... American, invisible...Luftwaffe!

They are M36 Tank Destroyers. Ran into them again in the former Yugoslavia
along with M18 Hellcats and a few other types.
