This thread also brings home something else. The location of '....behind you ....' might cause a smile but it's useless when we need to know where you are in order to give you advice.

A gentle reminder to all........ if you click on the little blue info sign at the bottom of the post next to the thanks button......... unless the member has a scrambled IP address it will give you an idea of the location.

Regarding the OP, There are a few who collect NZ marked rifles, with it being in NZ I'm not up on the prices but looks a good rifle, must admit the bolt does stand out compared to the rest of the rifle and very much doubt it was changed in service, as it would of at least been re numbered to the rifle with the old number linshed off or barred out with XXXX.

Many years ago I would of give it a home but now days and as much as I love Enfields I have to pass on them unless its a .22 or it has provision for an issued scope........
