M1 Helmet Liner ?

I wonder if some could please tell me the origin of this liner, I thought it might be Korean War period but I am not to sure that its not of European origin.
Chin strap has what looks like a number 5 ink stamp on rough leather side and word (dot) on the rear of stud button.

Shell has some stamping on the inside one looks like a W in a circle

Definitely made by Westinghouse (USA) who made most of the M1 helmet liners (23,000,000 - 52.5%). But WW2 or post war? They started production again in the 1950s.

Is the impregnated cloth that makes up the shell in stripes (like a zebra) - which would indicate WW2, or overlapping - post war? Its hard to tell from the pic. Liners made by Westinghouse in the 1950s had overlapping cloth. The webbing is quite dark for WW2. Also, liners made by Westinghouse in the 1950s had their makers mark stamped in ink, not raised like your example. I've also been told that only WW2 liners have the grommet at the front. So my guess is WW2.

Are the 'A' washers that hold the webbing brass or steel? Hard to tell from the pics, and can you post another pic of the leather chinstrap clasp?

I agree, I think it's a WW2 Westinghouse. I think it's good...

Some more pictures of liner, I do now think that the liner is WW2. Not sure on the webbing if it is late WW2 or post War manufacture or liner was refurbishment post War.

The washers are steel, so it looks like I have a WW2 produced liner refurbished post war, if I have read the following link on M1 liners correct?

Your pics of the interior appear to show overlapping strips of resin impregnated cloth which I've heard is a post war technique, not the parallel strips of WW2 manufacture. This also accords with the black painted steel 'A' washers and the dark (Olive Drab #7) cotton webbing. Maybe an early 1950s Westinghouse production?

My recent research on liners and the information below from Top Pots, lead to me believing my liner was of WW2 manufacture with the webbing and A washers being a post war refurbishment replacement.

MODEL 1951/1952 LINER
Manufactured by both Capac and Westinghouse (Micarta Division only) these M-1 helmet liners are identical to the WWII liner except that the internal HBT cloth is a dark green olive drab #7. These liners are identified by two types of manufacturer stamps, on set of "W" and "CAPAC" are embossed into the crown. (my liner does not have the CAPAC stamp Just the W)
