    I'm sure it is DC, even if it looks like a G.
    The whittling on the comb was likely to lower it, personal customization. Anything stamped on the butt tang?
    "65" probably is for the 65th Bn., Mount Royal Rifles of Montreal, with the rifle number beneath it.
