My brother is commander of Legion post and said they have trouble firing 3 rounds each in 21 gun salute with blanks. Rounds do not feed smoothly into the chamber. Is there a adjustment that can be made to correct this? Or, is there a recommended ammo source that performs better? It sounds to me like the ammo is too short and lacks a imitation nose to work smoothly. I haven't seen the ammo they have yet.

I found a new magazine spring and polishing the feed ramp improved the performance with blanks for my 1903 when using the wadded but not crimped blank designed for use with the .30 Cal MG's.
Thanks for this info. I will look at the rifles and bear this in mind. Did you just replace the spring with a new one or look one with more or less force?
I'll also check cleanliness and clean them up first.
Also appreciate the reference to the CMP, I didn't know about that possibility, tho my brother probably does. I'll talk to him about that.
