P14 sniper scope mounting technique

I am planning a sniper build using accumounts copy of the P14 sniper mounts. I am wondering if anyone knows what the proper technique was to secure them to the action?

Were they silver soldered like the turret mounts of the k98?

I have done a number of other ww2 sniper clones and try to stay as true to the platform as possible right down to a rifles DOM as well as which plant the rifles came from.

Any help on the proper mounting of the p14 sniper mounts is greatly appreciated!

Found my answer reading through an Irish contract P14 sniper description.
Soldered and screwed.

Now does anyone have any screws?

bit more to it then that,, if you plan on actually shooting and being able to hit a target with the rifle. you will have to shim the front, as well as trim the left side sight ear down so that the rifle will bore sight, keep this in mind, if you solder the rear base in place, you may not be able to remove the scope. I just did one of these a couple weeks ago, quality with Accumonts is hit and miss. I used 8-40 screws.

Are the issues you had collimating due to the quality control or is the spotty quality found elsewhere?

You cold try one of the non intrusive scopes setups. It not original in any way shape or form.

Number 1265 and 1270. I went with the S&K mounts.

I have one for the 1917 and it works pretty good (high to no cheek weld)
