John F. (Jack) SUKEY 80, passed away Saturday, April 21, 2018. (A Tucson resident since 1963, John was born in Chicago, Illinois to John and Pauline Sukey (deceased). He is survived by his sister, Paulette Bremond (John); brother, Robert (Christie); nieces, nephews, and good friends. John proudly served his country in the Army and Air National Guard. Awww maaan. Funnily enough one of the last threads i recall on the British rifles forum was concerning what happens to your collection when you go? At least these items will be fed and watered correctly.

I raised two sons who love shooting and respect the history and aesthetics of vintage weapons. My 'toys' will pass into good hands when I go toes up.

I sold an EAL rifle to John back around 2000. It was the civilian model rather than the military model. I wonder if it's the same rifle. I had two of them that I exported at that time. One went to the US importer (Carl Tong in Scobey Montana) and the other went to John.

Probably the same one as there aren't that many of them out there that multiple identical items tend to be owned - this is the civilian model.

They are not that rare here in Canada. Quite often they are found on a table being sold as a sporterised rifle. I currently have two of the military model.

Yes, regularly on CGN for sale now. Unfortunately some think even though they're beat they're worth a mint.
