					1895 Chilean Mauser arrived todqy

UPS man brought my 1895 Chilean
Mauser today. Based on the "A" prefix on the S/N, along with the 1895 stock cartouche (which has same serial number), I'm thinking this is a 124 year old rifle. All numbers match, except the cleaning rod. Bore looks good and have it soaking in solvent now. I carefully broke it down earlier today, and am seriously wondering if it has ever been broken out of the stock before. The oil had hardened on the metal and everything was very hard to get out. These are not the best photos, but you can see some of the grease buildup, and a few other interesting things. Looking forward to getting her all cleaned up and on the range. Would appreciate any 1895 insight.
