A lot of us will not go because that show deliberately sets up the same weekend as the Forks of the Delaware. It seems to founders of OAKS wish to destroy that old time collector show in Easton.
So no thanks.
But hey if you overlook inadvertent discharges (happened at Oaks) illegal sellers outside and police raids on same (Once again happens at Oaks) it is a good show in other regards, in particular for things like magazines and modern parts.

I also attended both shows as a vendor. The forks is a wonderful show to. See great collection of military arms. But for me to make my living there selling parts it's very hard. So if there is another show which is bigger then I must weigh the pros an cons of business. The sheer volume of people coming through the gate is a big plus for business for me especially. Dealing with used old firearms an parts is a very tough sell. There was also 2 other major shows at the same time. I spoke with people who attended 3 of the 4 shows. The real diehards

To be fair accidental discharges can and do happen at any show.
The illegal sales don't "Happens" at Oaks, it almost happened once. I saw the guy being arrested a few shows back. He apparently wasn't aware of PA's requirement of a background check on all handgun sales. He was 50' from the front door where the cops are sitting, in his car next to the sidewalk, not even in a parking spot, with a sign!!! Not exactly on the down low if you know what I mean.
