Spearhead- 33rd Armd Regt. The town of Roetgen is near Aachen and east of Belgian town of Eupen. It was the first German
town to fall under US control in Sep 1944, and is also where Eddie Slovik was executed in Nov 1944 for desertion.

Roetgen, looks a bit different now. My favourite Belgian chip shop is just off the main road, the border being somewhere between the shop and the main road.
