Nice presentation showing the manufacture of the new Shiloh Sharps rifles, my friend just ordered a barrel and action from them in 50-95 cal, he plans to re-stock it himself.
I always liked the original Sharps Borchardt action, very advanced for the period of introduction and used by the old custom gunsmiths to build target rifles during the 1890 to 1920 period. The Borchardt got a second life during the late 1930's to 1950's when the old target rifles were redone into long range varmint rifles chambering the 22-3000 G&H, 219 Wasp and 25 Krag. A lot of really nice old off-hand target rifles were converted and lost much of their value.
I found this photo of a old Borchardt off hand target rifle with a very unusual arrangement for the set triggers, these are not common to find.Attachment 99113
