Early metford and enfields
I do not think I have seen so many Metford and Enfield receivers for sale!
If anyone is looking to build up a early rifle this seems to be the place to look.

“There are invisible rulers who control the destinies of millions. It is not generally realized to what extent the words and actions of our most influential public men are dictated by shrewd persons operating behind the scenes.”
Edward Bernays, 1928
Much changes, much remains the same.

On the button - They are only available as they have now cut-the-cord.
Mine are not the best, but they are not too bad. I can think of lots of Enfields I'd rather have but instead of constantly striving for more, sometimes it's good to be satisfied with what one has...

I'm on it like a fat kid on a jelly donut!
No guarantee on condition. The receivers are used and are probably the left overs from stripped rifles, they are the easy parts to find. It is the rest of the stuff to complete the assembly that is the real challenge.
I have a bin full of pre 1899 stripped long Lee receivers. I think that I sold one in the last ten years.
Buying a rare receiver is one thing, building the complete rifle is another.
Exporting to Canada
starts at 400 quid for one receiver or forty.
Group buy? I just need another 39 punters!
