2019 Spring Vintage Military Rifle Postal Match
![](https://www.milsurps.com/images/imported/2019/03/Vennie_fulllength_wbayo_zpsz8gwpfgp-1.jpg)
Open to anyone, anywhere!
It's that time of year, again. Time to initiate another vintage military rifle postal match, sponsored by the South Texas Marksmanship Training Center. This one's a bit different from last year's; distance increased from 50 to 100 yards, the aiming black is slightly larger, and the required rifle action is semi-auto, not bolt action. (Any sem-iauto military rifle designed prior to 1955, caliber .256 [6.5mm] or greater, up to .32 cal.) Navigate to these links for all the details and printable targets:- Guidelines/rules
- 100 yards rapid fire target
- 100 yards slow fire target
As always, my contact information is provided with item #1 if you have any questions or comments.
Good luck, and "keep 'em in the X-ring!"

Shoot 'em!
Welcome, Merle!
Yes, that's a Venezuelan FN-49.
The tiny little white tag above the magazine says 7mm, so I don't confuse it with my 8mm Egyptian.

I thought I saw a muzzle break there.
I have one too, but it came without a mag.
I ended up modding a repro 8mm mag, and it seems to work OK.
I'll find out pretty soon...
