In my family we call this type of oil lamp a "Hurricane Lamp" and we use to have 2 permanently on hooks in the kitchen to provide some light during the frequent power cuts of the early 1970's. A multitude of different sizes, makes and style of lamp were and to a certain extent still are available.
If the lamp that you have actually states "Made in Germany
" on it I would question if it is actually WW2 ex Wehrmacht. I would, however, expect the possibility of finding "Made in Germany" on a lamp intended for export

IIRC Both say made in Germany
.
This company is still in business.
Problem is..... any and all I see on auction sites are being called Ex german army used. (Imagine that)
Which can't be.....
I have to figure out when the models were made.... the small details.
The little Atom 75 with back side shield/bracket is really interesting.
I could see it being used because of the red globe as a rail yard or even on the back of a bike or jeep. Of course I'm just guessing now.
Appreciate your info Flying10
