There won't be any target scoring going on at this event. Just a bunch of bruised shoulders.
I'm hanging mostly steel targets all the way out to 200 yards (max distance for this range). If it doesn't go "clang" you probably didn't hit it. The full sized steel IDPA will be at 200 for sure. I want people that aren't great shots to have a chance at hitting something at distance using iron battle sights. Give them an idea of what it took to be a marksman 60+ years ago.
I've got at least five 1/4 sized AQT targets, two 8" circles, a target stand holding a big paper sheet with 1" grids + the IDPA. I'm thinking we'll have 4 shooters per relay shooting at all those at the same time. Do you guys think that's enough steel or should I get more targets?
