I too have a penchant for the early carbines.

When these came to me, Bubba had been at them and they were all sportered, some pretty sad. Throw enough time and money at something, it can be restored!

I made the nose caps for each one of them along with the barrel bands.

Well, when I say that I made the nose caps, I actually had them made for me and I just took the raw machined pieces and finished them up. Credit must go to the master machinist and the full blown commercial machine shop.
Chance would have it, I found a clever lad who can make just about anything if he has a sample to copy.
The programs have been saved. The CNC mill can spit them out to order.
The barrel bands on the carbines are actually long Lee rifle bands that I reforged to remove the shoulders and draw them out a bit for them to be reformed as carbine bands.
New made ones are in the works.
