The nylon material is readil;y available and used for many purposes and the buckles are an off the shelf item from Aeroflex (Bedford?). Clampkeeper is from Irvine. But to be honest, they weren't the best sling......

That's true Peter , but it was correct as issued for the L42a1 and to the collector it is a must to have in their kit .

£265 you say. I suppose if your a keen collector who has to have a complete setup, your gonna pay the price even if its ridiculous. I can buy x3 slings for my AXMC for that

Quite interesting these values on pieces that make up these wonderful old sniper kits.
I would never have imagined that a leather strap in itself, regardless of its length would EVER be worth that sort of money.
On the basis of this, and all the other prices out there recently, that puts my full CES at over £15K always hopeful but slightly overpriced as I sold one three years ago with a smock to boot all authentic for £4500 to a user in Arnhem.

I'll be more than happy when the L42 reaches the dizzy heights of £20,000 I hope the No4 T's are not too far behind...... my 10 year plan is in full swing, so I'll be selling off most if not all of the collection then if the plan works......
The WD bikes will remain though, as a Move to a hotter climate will give me a chance to enjoy them more...... and I don't have to keep them in a safe.

Thats it Gil, the reason I got back into the Bikes and being mainly WD ones, its a gradual squeeze but slowly we will loose more and more, then again when we all have electric cars etc, I guess petrol and diesel will be at a premium..........

Geoff, Perhaps not too long to go for you and me both.
I see there's an L42 listed for sale now in the UK at GBP 19,500...!

I guess its time to get the price tags out again...... although I'll re write the price without someone looking over the shoulder, as she does mention time and again to sell them all ...... strange woman
