At the risk of being "political", it just shows that the gov't can pass all the laws they want and it only affects the law abiding. I saw a picture of the Andersen Arms AR this morning that was used in the early Sunday morning shooting in Dayton, Ohio. It's either a pistol variant modified with the addition of the rifle buttstock or a rifle with a 10" barreled upper receiver installed. Both alterations are illegal and a felony unless the weapon is registered with the DoJ first as an SBR, (Short Barreled Weapon), which entails a thorough background investigation and $200 tax stamp. My point is that the shooter was already committing a felony crime under U.S. law before he ever pulled the trigger. Just owning the combination of parts without the proper ATF registration is a felony. Maybe it'll be aired when someone points it out, maybe not. Enough said.
