I know this is an ancient thread but it was mentioned that there was a sten MK5 with a suppressor which used a clamp on front sight , the only other reference I’ve seen to it was in the article that was linked to in this thread. I did some emailing and someone reputable told me SASC has one in their collection but I haven’t been able to get in contact with anyone there. Does anyone here have a photograph of the front sight used ? Maybe a Britishicon member could see if they can see if it actually exists? I have a MK5 and would love to make a reproduction of the sight to use with a suppressor. I can’t bring myself to modify the gun into mk6 configuration just to use a suppressor.
