Thinking of parting with mine now!! Has all the signed paperwork from its user on Mount Tumbledown too..............that is good news and moving in the right direction not like Classic Cars which have sadly tumbled unless you have the right one!

Thanks, but at that price and active bidding (and its not even a buy-it-now) I'll wait a while longer.
Mine are not the best, but they are not too bad. I can think of lots of Enfields I'd rather have but instead of constantly striving for more, sometimes it's good to be satisfied with what one has...

The Precistas were pretty reliable but there were only a couple of contracts with them due to being a tad more expensive. The CWC's were said to be waterproof - in that they let the water IN but wouldn't let it OUT again. You've GOT to replace the back and battery trap seal EVERY time

I've recently read that DS Solutions is offering reproductions of the L42A1 transit chest, as well as the plastic bottle.

It was a picture of their booth at a militaria show. They had for sale the items I had mentioned. Maybe give them a call - not sure why not on the website?

yep they were on the DS Solutions stall at the Odyssey show, (as well as reproduction No8 tins Mk1 (square edge) and Mk2 (canvas)
John dose not list all his stock on the website if there is limited quantity or one-off's as the website would need constant updating. best to drop him an email with your wish list.
