You are dumping a lame totally uneducated opinion on CMP
not based on any knowledge of the 1917 but purely on "look at me, I am special"
You are also a detriment to the fire arms community where good accurate in context information is extremely important to both safe use and collecting and not spewed opinions.
People go to these forum to get knowledge from informed people not garbage.

I've posted a ton more documentation in this discussion on the M1917 on Gunboards.
This is a good read as you can make your own determination on the safety of the M1917.

Well, I've been using them since the '70s when I could first afford one and have had lots of vets and better shape rifles. None have given me ANY problems nor until now have I even HEARD anything detrimental about them. Other than the little about some parts needing fitting between manufacturers, they've been used for magnum rifle basis and again, never even have I HEARD of problems.
Don't need to go to gunboards for that either when we have a perfectly sound forum here. Leave that bunfight over there...

I've always respected your opinion Jim.
That is why I posted a lot of info so people can read it. It just gets to be too much time to post it on every forum.
