BSA Enfield No 4 MK 1 303 1943 SNIPER WITH SCOPE BOX
I won an auction for a Remington 512P (for parts this thing is TORE-UP) of course I always get them for parts and always end up restoring them, but this one is tore-up and I have to keep telling myself that.
ANYHOW, the seller has a website with a bunch of MILSURP rifles. Many make me go.. Hmmm Like the SKS Sniper and some Ohh... but this listing caught my eye. I won't be getting it with its $3900.00 US price tag, but did find it interesting. Its supposed to be a 1943 BSA Enfield No 4 MK 1 Sniper.

Difficult to give a lot of detail with the indifferent photo's, but she looks a genuine enough old war horse. The only thing off hand that looks to me like it could be a replacement is the cheekpiece.

Forestock been replaced as has the cheek peice. Action and bracket appear to be matching along with bolt. Scope tin has been repaired possibly a do it yourself job. Also note the tin isnt matching. Overall it's a nice rifle but I wouldn't say its 3900 dollars nice. Especially with non original wood work.
