Did I miss something?
Local gun show, this one vendor had 2 non-matching U.S. Rifle, Caliber .30, Model of 1917s, priced at $1,595.00, acting righteously proud of them...They were mix=masteThe "R" rec. had a "W" bbl, "E" stock, no cartouches, the other was an"E" rec., with a "JA" bbl. I figured M1917s would go up in price upon their 100th birthday, but DAMN!!! Any info will help...

If that price was for both it's a little high of normal for mixmasters. If that price is for each that would be high for a mint all matching one.

There were two for sale at the WAC show in Monroe, WA last weekend, a Winchester and an Eddystone. $900 each. I thought that price was a little high considering their condition, but then I'm probably a bit jaded since I got my M1917 two years ago for $525.

"...Local gun show, this one vendor..." Lotta guys go to gun shows thinking they're going to get rich selling milsurps. The assorted auction sites are the same. Dealers, mostly, who think they have gold and prices accordingly for stuff you can easily buy in Walmart or Cabela's.
It's worse up here because they think stuff is worth the same here that it is Stateside. One guy carried a bunch of dirty, greasy, junker M1
Rifles and clips back and forth, years ago. He thought his junker rifles were worth $775Cdn and the clips $4Cdn each.
Spelling and Grammar count!

Just wait till the movie "1917" comes out-- I think prices will jump just like after "Dunkirk" and some of the other war movies. Salt Flat
Edit-- I guess it is already out in the UK
and to be released Jan 10 in the U.S.
