Warner & Swasey Mounting Instructions
I recently purchased a M1913 Warner & Swasey to use on a sniper build I'm working on. Came with the leather case, mounting bracket, and screws. I'll start a thread on that later.
A few weeks after I received the scope, a letter came in the mail from the seller. Said he had come across this and figured I would like it. Pretty neat, I think. Seems pretty old. Ink is blue. If anybody wants a copy, send me a PM with your email address, and I'll send the scan. Happy Holidays!

That is really neat! Thank you for sharing.
I'm guessing that name at the bottom is the retailer of the scope. I did a google search on them and they were sort of a sportmans catalog at the turn of the century.

Thanks Steve! To be honest, I haven't even taken the time to do that myself!
Photos of the scope to come soon. Decorating for Christmas now!

Thank you for that picture! If you had not mounted your scope rail, would you possibly mind measuring the screws? Fortunately the document of yours mentions the threading, unfortunately not the screw head size nor the length of the screws. Hayes Otoupalik used to sell the screws, but he has run out of stock on these and so far I was unable to find the correct size of them.

Here's the best measurements I could come up with, for now. But I can't guarantee the screws are correct because I still need to drill out the plugs in my receiver! I'm surprised the screw heads are rounded and not flat. Once in the mount though, they are nearly flush. Perhaps my screws are not original!
Overall length seems to be about 13.25 mm, and the threads themselves, about 9.5 mm.

Thank you for the dimensions. Will need to re-check my screws. I've been told the screws are of the same dimensions as the screws on the M1906 bayonet for the Springfield M1903 rifles, only a bit longer.

Around 2006 or 2007, I milled two 1903 stocks for a friend that had some 1903 receivers with the plugs in the W&S screw holes. I used a 10mm
end mill ball cutter on these stocks so the receiver with mount would fit. I also heard the screws were very close to the Model 1906 bayonet too.

For documentation reason (I track the serials of these W&S snipers), could you possibly give me the serials? Same goes out to the OP. I hope to be able to re-pair rifles with scopes at some point - thanks!
