“S” symbol on M95 Mannlicher
I picked up a beautiful all matching M95
There are two different “S” symbols on the barrels of M95s. One “S” has lines on the ends and the other “S” is a simple “S” with no lines. Which “S” designates the Rifle being rebarreled by Austria
and which “S” by Bulgaria?

The S means the rifle was rechambered , not rebarreled .

Okay but the question is which S symbol signifies Austria
and the other S symbol for Bulgaria because there’s 2 types of S

As far as I am aware Bulgaria didn't do any of the conversions themselves, rather sending them to Austria
to be rechambered.

There is only one S. The lines you see are from the acceptance date being over struck by the S. The S was either placed on the flat of the barrel directly over the acceptance date or on the slight curve of the barrel which does not obscure the acceptance date. There is also an H signifying the work was done by Hungary
. And as Bob pointed out, they were not rebarreled, they were rechambered.
