    HERE WE HAVE AN ENFIELD NUMBER 4 MARK 1 "T" BRITISH SNIPER.

    THIS IS NOT JUNK THIS IS THE REAL THING, AND IT IS ALL MATCHING!!!
    FEEL FREE TO ASK ALL THE QUESTIONS YOU WANT. I WILL TRY AND GIVE A VERY DETAILED DESCRIPTION. THIS IS A WORLD WAR 2 AUTHENTIC SNIPER. NOT A SALVAGE OR PARTS GUN.

    NO IMPORT MARKS. ALL NUMBERS MATCH. THE BOLT TO THE GUN AND RECIEVER. . THE BUTT IS STAMPED TO MATCH THE SCOPE. THE SCOPE MOUNT MATCHES THE RIFLE, AND THE SCOPE RINGS MATCH EACH OTHER. IT HAS THE "T" STAMP. THE RECIEVER AT THE BUTT STOCK IS STAMPED "1944" AND "ENGLAND" AND THE SERIAL NUMBER AND A "TR" BELOW THAT.

    IT HAS THE PROPER THIRD SLING SWIVEL IN FRONT OF THE MAGAZINE. THE SAFETY IS MARKED "M/47". THE REAR SIGHT HAS HAD THE COMBAT PEEP REMOVED FOR THE SCOPE AS IT SHOULD HAVE. . THE SIDE OF THE RECIEVER IS MARKED "No. 4 Mk 1 T " . THE BOLT HEAD IS A NUMBER "0".

    THE SCOPE IS A Mk1 made in 1941...SOME OF THE PAINT ON THE SCOPE IS FLAKING.
    THE BORE IS GREAT. . THE OPTICS ARE CLEAR AND PERFECT. THE BULLET DROP DIALS WORK PERFECTLY. THE CRATE IS IN GOOD SHAPE. IT HAS BEEN PAINTED ??. THE SCOPE CAN HAS BEEN RE-PAINTED THE BLUING IS 98%.

    Holland and Holland, the famous Britishicon sporting gun manufacturers, converted many of these sniper rifles, along with BSA and Long Branch in Canada. These rifles were extensively employed in various conflicts until the late 1960s. An updated 7.62 mm NATO version was in use as late as the Falklands War of 1982.

    ANSWERS TO MOST OF THE QUESTIONS I HAVE RECEIVED
    I HAVE HAD AN "EXPERT" LOOK AT THIS RIFLE,AND IN HIS OPINION IT IS AN ARSENAL RECONDITIONED GUN THAN WAS REARSENALED IN 1949 ACCODING TO THE TAG ON THE SCOPE BOX

    THE DIRTY GRUNGY LOOKING STUFF IS DRY cosmolineicon NOT RUST
    1. Yes both the windage and elevation knobs on the scope work properly
    2. Yes there is an "S" marking on the right hand side of receiver wall below the bolt head
    3. yes there is an "S51" marking on the underside of the butt stock
    4. Yes the underside of the fore stock is serial numbered to the rifle
    5. It has a hairline crack on the left side of the forestock in front of the saftey about 4" long
    6. The bore is perfect
    7. I cannot remove the buttstock to verify the serial no..
