The serial number is the one under the A 3401. The number under the 5MD is the inventory number. If C1445 is stamped on the bolt handle rear (in your face) it is the bolt out of rifle C1445 if it is on the receiver under the bolt handle when closed it is the PAA number and will on the under side of the bolt handle as well for the bolt that was originally proofed with the rifle. Photos would be a big help.

I didn't say it wasn't I looked it up to be sure on your list at that. I only commented on the 5MD inventory number and the C1445 number.
By the way Muff all the best for 2020

ok, thanks. 3401 on back of bolt handle also. c1445 on receiver, but not on bolt anywhere.Attachment 104865Attachment 104866Attachment 104867
there is a 8-45 on stock, really hard to see, and the barrel is 7-45, so i would take that it got a new stock when rebarreled?

C1445 is the PAA number if the bolt is original it will be on the underside of the handle as well. The 8-45 is when the rifle was returned to stores not a new stock.

Thanks Bruce, all the best to you and yours also.
Extended family took a bit of a hit with the fires, saved the nephews place but lost the family home in Bundanoon.
Might need to sell a bit of gear to support the rebuild. SLOMO's promises are **** and we are already fighting the Insurance Company.
