1939 production M38 Mosin Nagant Carbine

Hi, this is my first post to the forum and just had a couple of questions. This is my latest purchase a 1939 produced Izhevsk M38 carbine. The gun is matching numbers. Just wondering how much more these are worth over the common date guns. Given there was only 34,000 produced in 1939. At 250.00 did I do alright? Thanks.

Chicom762, If you posted pictures we could give you a better idea. However, $250.00 for an M38 is a great deal and the bottom pricing for all matching rifle with light handling wear, you can hardly touch a M44 for that anymore.
