A few years back, my brother got a good deal on a Mk.III Ross in similar, if not nicer, condition. It was a Home Guard issue so it didn't have the enlarged chamber or the pinned bolt. Oddly, the muzzle was just a flat crown but later research showed that the flat crown wasn't that unusual. Initially, my brother was concerned that the barrel may have been shortened a bit. They are lovely rifles and a joy to shoot.
