1910/22 It works.
On the advice of two forum members who suggested there maybe a fault with the striker (firing pin). I was made aware that the 1910/22 & the 1910 share the same striker assembly so swap them to see if the 1922 ejects. I did this and yes it works.
This is a picture of them side by side you can see the 1922 one is the shorter of the two no way was that going to work. It's a pity the gunsmith that worked on it never noticed.
Thank you for the advice guys.

Soon this shall pass, very soon... Sounds like the gunsmith wasn't very interested.

It's probably more a case of lacking experience in the specific firearm.
I'm sure one of my friends suggested the source of the problem to me, and I didn't believe him based on the fact the the firing pin set off cartridges, and ejected properly when "dry firing".
FYI the MAB Model "D" also uses a 1910/1922 compatible firing pin.

Hi Lee Enfield thanks for that.
Hope very soon to have this historic pistol working as she should, now with a Gunsmith that knows what he's doing. Thanks for all the advice and help, you know who you are, I'm very grateful.
