BM62 question

Took my BM62 out to the range today, shot very well. Was wondering if it is an easy swap out to put a tri compensator on as I dont like the muzzle device currently on it. Any advice would be great!

Both muzzle devices will interchange on the BM59/62 rifles. There is also a shorter 5" compensator you can use also. Just harder to find.

StandardParts LLC has the tricompensators for sale if you are looking for one.

Thanks man I think the 5 would look better than the tri compensator but if I cant find one of the shorter ones I'll just go that route. Also I got home to clean it and the gas nut was only finger tight. Would that have cause some of the accuracy issues I had at the range?

Don't know the issues you may have had but yes, with the gas lock nut being loose it could affect accuracy.

Some rounds would be dead on and then I dont know if it's me or what they'd start going all over the paper. I feel some of it was me but I know some of it was that lose nut. I will be changing the muzzle device as the one on the 62s sucks!

I have one on my Springfield BM59. It's never been fired so I'm gonna leave it that way and shoot my 62 instead.

The Tricompensator is the way to go. I had an SAI BM-59 (Serial 85x) back in the 1990's and was allowed to shoot Service Rifle with it at Fort Richardson - until some of the top shooters noticed I had NO Muzzle Rise during the rapid fire stages. The Range Officer didn't really care, but, under pressure, told me I had to bring an M1 or an M1A icon

from now on.
Try it, you'll like what it does - gun looks better, too. CC

Standard Parts, Ltd has a gas lock that will allow you adapt almost any flash hider.

My 69 has a 3”, the tri comp just looked awkward on a 69
