Stacked SMLEs

I did an experiment stacking my Lee Enfields. Unfortunately only 2 of the 3 have piling swivels, which makes it pretty unstable. Do you think I could get away with making these a fixture in my living room?

Do you live alone ?
Mine are not the best, but they are not too bad. I can think of lots of Enfields I'd rather have but instead of constantly striving for more, sometimes it's good to be satisfied with what one has...

You might be able to do that in a civilized country, but not in Canada
- unless the guns are dewat. Even then, the local constabulary is likely to kick down your door. If you leave a cleaning kit out, you can claim you were cleaning them - a legally accepted excuse in Canada (there is existing legal case precedent). You have to decide if being right is worth the legal cost, and having a red flag beside your name, with the police.

When a good mate of mine was 'a free man' he had a Deac Bren gun in pride of place in his living room, since he was captured, it's out of the question, Camp Commandant has very different views regarding interior design!

Stacking hook or piling swivel??
One time I took three long Lees out to the sand pit for some plinking fun.

I was right chuffed and feeling clever that I could stack them and keep them up out of the sand. That was until I realised that I actually needed a fourth one to shoot, otherwise the stack would not stand if I took one away.

Yes chaps, I see only some of you have appreciated my attempt at humour. No, Alan I don't normally live alone, and when she returns from the UK, I expect my partner will continue the ban on militaria in the living room.
Northof60, I consider Canada's gun laws extremely civilized, although opinions may differ, and yes, the 1 shooter of the trio was safely locked and hidden as per my PAL, immediately after the picture was taken. The other two are deacs, but they don't get displayed either, for security reasons.
I have concluded that stacking was a fairly pointless bit of drill, unless someone has a good reason?

I suppose the handy could make up a decent socket that would fit the standard barrels of those rifles that don't accept the Spike Milligan of bayonets. ;-)
Perhaps a very thin bottom wall to keep condensation rising from the ground getting into the muzzle while thin enough to pass into the ground an unintended bullet, rather than deflect it into the legs of the careless, or those sitting around the nearby campfire?
