Finally, a practical use for the spike bayonet!

I suppose the handy could make up a decent socket that would fit the standard barrels of those rifles that don't accept the Spike Milligan of bayonets. ;-)

Perhaps a very thin bottom wall to keep condensation rising from the ground getting into the muzzle while thin enough to pass into the ground an unintended bullet, rather than deflect it into the legs of the careless, or those sitting around the nearby campfire?
