Fellow Aussie here, same old story had our 2 daughters cars vandalised I was 99.9% sure who it was and told the police where he lived, guess what oh! just get the insurance to fix the cars.
No real policing just public relations issue for the police.
I visited the local Police station 2 days later and spoke to the station chief, showed him the photos of the shoe prints on the roof of the car (as this lowlife ran over the roof) the chief did not want to know, even said it could have been anyone wearing the shoes who lived in the house, all I got was a bucket full of excuses/crap from him, so I said ok, If I go around there with 4 mates with baseball bats and remedy the problem, well he just had no words to say, so I thanked him for wasting my time and left, he did not even say goodbye to me.
I am waiting till this lowlife gets a new car or similar then justice will prevail.
Was a waste of time calling police, they are only here in Aussie to raise revenue for the govt only.
