Long Branch serial number listing

Hey Guys I thought I would add my 1945 Matching (wood it not serialized) Long Branch to the list:

No 4 MK I* - 1945 - s/n 87L4851
-LB Sight Mk 3
-Steel Butt Plate
-Upper Handgaurd is Grooved
-Long Branch Split bottom magazine (no serial number)

The odd thing about mine is I don't see any rework markings on the gun the only real feature I have is the Ishy/Brit screw was installed at one point but has since been removed and filled. It also has the early England import mark on the barrel from when it went into the states.

Converted to sniper.

First post for me.
My first Lee Enfield was/is a 1945 Long Branch No4 Mk1*
SN 84L2731 with matching bolt and receiver. No SN on the mag, the blueing is different, so replacement?
Walnut stock, but is an unsporterized "Surrey" so mostly replacement.
Ribbed top wood replacement.
Steel butt plate.

I have a No 4, Mk1 that has the following markings:

M47
1943
AQ0452
TR

Above the Chamber it England and a crown and an S on the right side of the receiver. It has the mounts for a scope on the left side of the receiver.
Unless it is a fake I assume it was a sniper version, but I am not familiar with No 4's not built at Long Branch or by Savage. Any Idea about this rifle. I am new to the forum and will get some pics up.

I have a 1950 Long branch No4 mk1*.
Serial 92L9050.
All matching numbers including the magazine.
Mk3 sight.
Steel butt plate.
Unissued.
Came with bayonet ,oiler and sling.

Look up the author Ian Skennerton. He wrote many books on British small arms. He has a ne, revised version of The Lee Enfield. original version has become very expensive and difficult to obtain. Visit the website 303British.com. I'd love to know what you find out about this rifle.

I have 1942 Long Branch no4 mk1* 3 (F) FTR serial#4L6760 that went through FTR in '51 according to engraving.It has the micrometer sight,marked with an F.
