Concerning the 7000€ auction:
Rifle and scope were matching, just the scope-case was incorrect in serialnumber. Chest seemed to be correct and some items like cleaning-kit etc were included aswell.
Now for the actual rifle:
Yes I won the auction, but it needs to be imported to Germanyat first - so I am not in possession of it atm. I may have formulated it a bit weird at the start of the thread indeed.
I was quite sure about the authenticity from my knowledge, but I dont have any experience about enfields. So I thought it would be smart to ask the professionals here in addition while the process is ongoing

CINDERS, you are absolutely right. I was ready to pay way more for the gun, because I definately wanted it.
As already mentioned, I just wanted to be sure about the rifle to be original - thats all. No reselling intended, just want to do exactly what you recommend: take it to the range, test it properly, do a report, being happy and to appreciate this excellent piece of history
