Concerning the 7000€ auction:
Rifle and scope were matching, just the scope-case was incorrect in serialnumber. Chest seemed to be correct and some items like cleaning-kit etc were included aswell.

Now for the actual rifle:
Yes I won the auction, but it needs to be imported to Germany at first - so I am not in possession of it atm. I may have formulated it a bit weird at the start of the thread indeed.
I was quite sure about the authenticity from my knowledge, but I dont have any experience about enfields. So I thought it would be smart to ask the professionals here in addition while the process is ongoing

The rifle is worth what you paid for and won it if this is the case and its not going to increase in value by putting it up here for people to give their opinions on Promo's got it right why ask after the fact. If some one wanted it more than you then they may have outbid you then the rifle is worth that figure to them and not that sum on the on the open market as its too fluid especially in an auction we have all seen things go for ridiculus prices and others that went for a song.
Best take it to the range and shoot it and do a report on how it goes!!!!!!!!!!!

CINDERS, you are absolutely right. I was ready to pay way more for the gun, because I definately wanted it.
As already mentioned, I just wanted to be sure about the rifle to be original - thats all. No reselling intended, just want to do exactly what you recommend: take it to the range, test it properly, do a report, being happy and to appreciate this excellent piece of history
